Ruby deStevens, 93, of Summit, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Brightview, Warren, NJ.
Ruby was born on October 14, 1926 in Tarrytown, New York. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony and Mary (nee Baldacini) Devico. Ruby attended Barnard and The New School and retired as an Editorial Assistant from the Summit Herald.
She was a devote catholic and was a long-time parishioner of St. Teresa of Avila Church in Summit where she was a faithful member of the choir. Ruby and her husband were past members of the Morris County Golf Club.
Ruby was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dr. George deStevens. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY. A Funeral Mass and Memorial gathering will be held after the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
