Rose C. Hill, 88, of Springfield, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center.
Rose was born on November 21, 1925 in New York, NY. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Elena (nee Ferrari) Cardinale.
Rose had a love of life. She was an avid gardener, a talented chef and baker, and enjoyed traveling. She was a member of the Short Hills Senior Club and volunteered for New Eyes for the Needy and other organizations. Rose loved taking photographs and had a real sense of style. She was very active all her life.
She is predeceased by her loving husband Mitchell H. Hill in 1997. She is survived by four children, Penny Hill Keirsey (Dan), Byron Hunter Hill, Wendy L. Hill (Tom Jackson), and Heidi Hill Topczewski (Steve), and three grandchildren, Hannah and Madison Topczewski and Maisie Jackson. She is also survived by two brothers, Frank and Edward Cardinale.
Family and friends may call to Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave., Springfield, NJ on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014 in the funeral home.
