Rolando C. Sikat , 69, of Union Township, New Jersey, succumbed to kidney and heart failure at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ on January, 21, 2020. He was surrounded by his family.
Rolando worked for the United States Postal Service in Union Township and Livingston, NJ. He was a loving father, husband, uncle, brother, and friend. He was always ready to help relatives and friends in need. He was an artist, a history buff that loved bowling, and an avid Shake Shack fan. He devoted boundless amounts of energy to music. He loved to listen to his several iPods, one of which had over 11,000 songs. Rolando was an extremely talented singer and was known for his rendition of “My Way” by Frank Sinatra.
Rolando is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rosalinda, daughter Sheena, son-in-law Chris, Pepper, siblings Renan, Romy, Rebecca, Teresa, Rosita, Rogelio, Paulita, Rosalinda and Cecilio.
A celebration of Rolando’s life will be held on Monday, January 27 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. Union, NJ Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 28 at 9:30 AM at Holy Spirit Church in Union, NJ. Rolando will be laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ.
