Rodolfo S. Bunao, 75, of West Orange, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ.
Rodolfo was born on December 9, 1942 in Pozorrubio, Pangasinan, Philippines. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Solano and Ana (nee Sarmiento) Bunao.
Rodolfo immigrated to the United States in 2001. He worked as a Sterile Processing Technician at St. Barnabas Medical Center. He was honorably discharged from the Philippine Air Force.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hosting BBQ’s, gardening and spending time outdoors. Rodolfo was a jack of all trades and loved finding collectables at garage sales.
Rodolfo is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lorna Bunao. He was the loving father of Willy Bunao, Caroline, Marjorie, Alvin, and Brendalyn and cherished grandfather of Charlayne Blayre, Jorielyn Fae, John Patrick, Clark Bryan, Luis, Lucas and Tommy. He is also survived by his siblings Remedios Tan, Teresita Gumafelix and Virginia Bunao and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Road, Whippany, NJ 07981. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at St. Philomena’s Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave, Livingston, NJ 07039. An interment will follow at Gate of Heaven, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family care of the funeral home.
