Robert W. Hyde, 88, died on April 19, 2013 at Garden Terrace Nursing Home in Chatham NJ. He was raised in Maplewood and was a resident of Chatham for nearly 60 years. Bob served in the Army Air Corp as a pilot during WWII and the Korean War. He was a graduate of Lafayette College. He was a sales executive at J.L. Hammett of Union, NJ. Bob was a life member of the Chatham Emergency Squad. He was an avid paddle tennis and tennis player, along with being an expert skier.
Husband of the late Mildred Hyde. Beloved father of two; Cathy Lawson and her husband Jack of Lake Hiawatha and Todd Hyde and his wife Anne of Chatham Twp. Loving Grandfather/Pop-Pop of five.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday April, 24 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 200 Main St. Chatham, NJ at 10:00am burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ.
