Robert T. Johnston, 62, of Mountainside, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Orange, Bob was raised in Springfield. He has lived in Mountainside since 1981. Bob worked as a deli clerk with Shop Rite in Millburn for almost 30 years, and was a longtime member of the Springfield Hillside Elks Club.
Predeceased by his parents, Robert and May; Bob is survived by his wife of 34 years, Vanessa (nee: Barned); children Robert James and his wife Kristin, Aimee Lynn Lauder and her husband Todd. And Joseph Nelson; grandchildren Ryan William Lauder, James Anthony Johnston, Holly Nicolette Lauder, and Connor Christopher Johnston; brother Jeff and his wife Nancy, and many nieces and nephews.
A Service will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 4pm at the Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave., Springfield.
