Robert E. Motacki, Jr., 29, passed away on November 17, 2013.

Born in Livingston, Robert has lived in Union most of his life. He was a special education teacher, who earned his Bachelor’s degree from New Jersey City University, and Master of Science degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University in Healthcare Administration. Robert loved the game of baseball, and was proud to be a part of the Union High School baseball team when they won the state championship in 2002. He went on to pitch a no-hitter at NJCU, while tying and breaking other records. Robert volunteered and worked at Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside and New Brunswick. He had a positive impact on every child he came in contact with at the hospital. He also took pride in the work he did as a teacher for children with special needs. He touched many lives at his most recent position as a teacher for children with autism in Florida.

Robert is survived by his parents, Robert and Kathleen Motacki, sister Lisa, brother John, grandmother Irene, and uncles Brian Motacki and Ted Tatarek, predeceased by loving grandfather, Edward Motacki.

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 26,2013 at 10:30 am at Holy Spirit Church, 971 Suburban Rd., Union. The burial will be a private service for immediate family only.
