Robert A. Gula, 73, loving husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones on December 10, 2015.

Bob was born on July 13, 1942 in Dover, NJ. He was the son of Anthony and Luella (nee Beach) Gula.

Bob graduated from Delbarton School, Morristown, NJ and St. Anselm College, Manchester, NH. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Dover, NJ and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Bob was happily married to Wallette Broda for 51 years. For over 45 years, seven days a week, he proudly ran the family owned business, Walt’s Hardware, in Kenvil, NJ.

Bob was an American Civil War buff and loved history. He and his wife enjoyed traveling all over the world including Europe, Asia, and throughout the United States. Bob was an avid reader of the New York Times, enjoyed completing crossword puzzles, and was an expert cribbage player.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wallette Gula. He is also survived by his mother, Luella Gula of Dover, NJ, sons; Bob Gula and wife Shelley of Short Hills, NJ, and Roger Gula and wife Cami Okubo of San Francisco, CA. He was the cherished grandfather of six grandchildren; Christopher, Matthew, Melissa, Peter, Kathryn, and Raiden Gula.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Meadow Wood Manor, 461 NJ-10, Randolph, NJ 07869. Words of Remembrance will begin at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Boys Town National Headquarters, 200 Flanagan Boulevard, PO Box 8000, Boys Town, NE 68010.
