Robert A. D'Ambola

Robert A. D’Ambola “Bob”, of East Hanover passed away at his home on July 28th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church, 75 Ridgedale Ave in Cedar Knolls on Friday, August 2nd at 10:00am. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd, Whippany on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Born and raised in Newark, the son of Alfonse and Minnie D’Ambola, Bob had also lived in Whippany before moving to East Hanover in 1978. He had worked for 32 years as a butcher for several local supermarkets until his retirement in 1989. A big Yankees fan, Bob will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his deep religious conviction and love of the lord as well as his deep devotion to his wife, children and family.

Bob was the beloved husband of Anna. He was the loving father of; Robert A., Jr and his wife Susan of Jackson NJ, Alfonse and his wife Kim of Avon Lakes NJ, Richard and his wife Deborah of Mt. Arlington NJ, Anne DeLuca and her husband Thomas of East Hanover NJ and the late Dean D’Ambola who passed away in 1992. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren; Robert, Alexis, Anthony, Tommy, Michael, Jacqueline, Michael and Dianna, his 3 great grandchildren; Nicolette, Dominick and Vincenzo, and his dear sisters; Gemma Complitano, Anne Fusari, and Gloria Raibick and her husband Al. He is predeceased by his brother Richard D’Ambola. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church.
