~~Peter Lederer, 61, of Union passed away at Morristown Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on October 28, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel, 1212 Kelly St. in Union on Monday, November 2, at 10:15am. Interment is private. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave, also in Union on Sunday from 3 to 7pm.
Born in Huntington, NY, the son of Eugene and Mary Lederer, Peter was raised in Northport and New York City and lived there for many years before moving to Union in 2000. He worked as a radiation therapist at Cornell Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Peter was an avid outdoorsman and adventurer. He loved motorcycles, scuba diving, boogie boarding, carpentry and his dogs. He will be fondly remembered for his passion of the outdoors and working with his hands, but most of all for his love and devotion to his family, especially his son Ryan.
Peter was the beloved husband of 28 years to Miriam. He was the loving father of Ryan. He is also survived by his siblings John, Margaret, Robert and Samuel, his nephews, Corey, Kian, and Guiv and his beloved dog, Coco. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Peter may be made to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, 575 Woodland Ave, Madison, NJ 07940.
