Paul D. Vance, 79, of Summit, NJ, passed peacefully on February 9, 2015. Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Paul has lived in Summit for 46 years. He served proudly in the US Navy. Paul was in the securities industry for 45 years. He last worked for Morgan Stanley in New York. He was Senior Vice –President/Portfolio Manager. Paul retired in 2005. He was on the Board of the New York Salvation Army, President of the Board of Directors Discovery Charter School in Newark, NJ, one of the founders of Summit Junior Baseball and he survived both attacks on the Twin Towers. Paul is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sonia Vance, father of Kevin, Debbie Barry, Brad, and the late Sheryl Lynn Fox, 9 grandchildren and two siblings, Nancy Hindle and Robert Vance. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 12 pm at the United Methodist Church of New Providence, 1441 Springfield Ave, New Providence. Interment Somerset Hills Memorial Park. Visiting hours Friday, 5 to 7 pm at the Bradley Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 309 Springfield Ave, Summit, NJ.
