Otto Stahl, Jr

Otto Stahl, Jr., entered into eternal rest after a long illness on March 28, 2012 in Jupiter, FL. He was 77.


Born January 17, 1935 in East Orange, Mr. Stahl spent his early years with the family in Irvington until the family relocated to Chatham in 1955. He attended St. Leo’s Parochial School and Irvington High School. He then served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany, and was honorably discharged. Upon completion of his enlistment period, he returned and settled stateside.


He will be remembered as one of the principal owners of National Manufacturing Co., Inc., situated for many years at 12 River Rd. in Chatham. He was an officer until the business was sold in 1997, at which point he retired to Jupiter, FL.


Otto Stahl, Jr. was a philanthropist and donated to various charities throughout his life, including a special gift to Stetson University in the name of his late son who died in 1993.


He was predeceased in life by his parents, Otto and Elsa Stahl; his wife of many years, June Jaye, his baby daughter Anne, and his son Mark Richard. He is survived by his son, Otto John, his brother and sister-in-law, William and Joan Stahl of Brick, NJ and Palm Gardens, FL; his brother, Richard, of Scottsdale, AZ; his cousin Karl Heilig and his wife Ellen as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins residing in Germany, Great Britain and Switerland.
