Norma Joan (Quigley) Bell, 89, of Whippany, NJ. Born and raised in West Orange NJ with brother Thomas and parents Marie and John Quigley, Norma graduated from West Orange High School. She was a secretary for Prudential until meeting the love of her life, Henry J Bell Jr., at a West Orange Community House dance. Married on 1/27/1950, the two shared a life of love, happiness, trial and tribulations associated with raising 5 children and being together for 37 years until he passed away in 1987. Norma returned to the workforce as a secretary/switch board operator at age 50 for the Connell Company of Westfield, NJ until she retired at age 70. She moved from West Orange to Whippany in 2004 and became a member of Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church where she has mentored many with her wisdom, sharing many life experiences.
Norma is predeceased by her husband Henry J. Bell Jr, daughters Julia Ann (Bell) Reitman, Maria Ann (Bell) Critelli, and parents, John and Marie Quigley. She is survived by her children: John and Michele Bell, Henry and Patricia Bell, Rosemarie (Bell) Cerca, and Joseph Critelli; grandchildren: Jeffrey Allen and Laurel Reitman, Nicholas Henry Cerca, Christopher Henry Bell and Ryan Michael Bell; siblings: Thomas and Catherine Quigley; nephews and nieces: Thomas and Eileen Quigley, Robert Quigley, John Quigley, David and Leann Quigley.
