Milton J. Swiatlowski

Milton Swiatlowski of Madison died at Garden Terrace Nursing home on Saturday, October 29, 2011. He was 89. Born and raised in Three Rivers, MA, he lived in Madison NJ for the past 23 years.

Milton worked for Abbott Laboratories for 39 years, for which he served as District Sales Manager and later the Manager of State Government Affairs for. He served as a Pharmacist’s mate with the US Navy during WWII. He graduated with a B.S in Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist before moving to Springfield Mass. He loved to play baseball from childhood into his 60’s and was an avid Red Sox fan. He also loved to play golf. He was a communicant of St. Vincent Martyr Church for over 22 years. For the last three years, Milton was lovingly cared for by the entire staff at Garden Terrace Nursing Home.

Milton is survived by his wife, Judy (Murphy); children: Barbara A. and her husband Matthew Pitoniak of Northampton MA, James David Swiatlowski of Tuxedo NY; grandchildren: Jonathan Pitoniak of Sunderland MA, Emma Pitoniak of Boston MA and Kyle P. Swiatlowski of Westwood NJ. He is also survived by his brother Walter and his wife Helen of Three Rivers MA in addition to many nieces & nephews. Milton was predeceased by his first wife, Genevieve C.
