Michael J. McCormack, 58, of Cedar Knolls passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on June 23, 2015. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel. 75 Ridgedale Ave, Cedar Knolls, on Monday, June 29th at 10:00am. Friends are invited to visit at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home. 49 Whippany Rd. in Whippany on Sunday, June 28th from 3 to 7pm.
Born in Morristown, the son of the late Michael, Sr. and Joan McCormack, Michael was raised in Whippany where he graduated from Whippany Park High School in 1975. He had lived in Cedar Knolls for 24 years. Michael worked for Foodtown in Whippany for many years prior to joining Nestles in Rockaway as a Sales Manager. He loved music. Michael was an accomplished guitar player having played with many local bands including the Good Times Band. He will be fondly remembered for his love and devotion to his family, his love of music, ice cream and the beach, and how he enjoyed taking long leisurely drives.
Michael was the beloved husband of 34 years to Romanna. He was the loving father of Timothy McCormack, Christine McCormack and her husband Kevin Farley and John McCormack. He is also survived by his dear sister Joanie McCormack. He is predeceased by his brother Timothy McCormack. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the Hackensack UMC Foundation, John Theurer Cancer Center, 360 Essex St, Suite 301, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
