Matthew Anthony Giaquinto, longtime Summit resident, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 5th, 2016. He was just 18 years old. Although he was born in New York City, Matthew was proud to have lived in Summit his whole life. Matthew attended Morristown-Beard High School, where he was an enthusiastic member of the varsity basketball and tennis teams. He was headed to Bentley University in Massachusetts in the fall to study business.
Matthew will be missed by his loving parents, Michael and Monica; his brothers Peter and Adam; grandparents Daniel and Patricia Giaquinto, Jerry and Nancy Benadum, Judy and Terry Negley; Aunt Marisa and Uncles Jeff and Frank; cousins Dominic, Grace, Katie and Joe; and an amazing group of friends.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 10:30am – 2:00pm at the Park Avenue Club, 184 Park Ave., Florham Park. We hope that this day will bring some happiness and comfort to all of those who knew Matthew. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to either of two organizations:
