MaryLou Klein-Dedicated her life to Volunteering


MaryLou Klein, 77, of Short Hills, NJ passed away on March 16, 2013. Born in Gothenburg, Nebraska, she also lived in Emerald and Hildreth, Nebraska, Stillwater, Oklahoma and Baytown, Texas before moving to NJ with her husband R.J. in 1963. MaryLou was a school teacher in Texas and NJ. Her passions were gardening-both flowers and vegetables-and volunteering. She volunteered at a myriad of locations ranging from the South Bronx to Mexico to the Carribean. her longest involvements were with Newark Habitat for Humanity, assisting in the construction and furnishing of fifteen homes, and Furniture Assist in Kenilworth. MaryLou is survived by her husband of 55 years, R.J.; son Martin of Park City, Utah and his wife Tracy, grandchildren John, Ben, and Lena; daughter Susan of Buffalo, NY, grandchildren Seve and Catalina; brother Jerry Duis, of Skiatook, Oklahoma.
