Mary Rush, 91, of Little Egg Harbor and formerly of East Hanover, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2017 at her home.
Mary was born on June 5, 1925 in Newark, NJ. She was the adopted daughter of late the Mr. Peter and Micheline (nee Vozella) Roscelli.
Mary and her beloved husband moved to East Hanover in 1958, where they raised their family till his retirement in 1985. They moved to Allamuchy for 28 years before moving to Little Egg Harbor. Mary also enjoyed spending her winters in her condo in Naples, Florida.
Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Patrick Francis Rush. She was the loving mother of sons; Patrick Rush and wife Patricia of Little Egg Harbor, NJ and Matthew Rush of Allamuchy, NJ. She was the cherished grandma of Brittany Rush and caretaker, Laura Sytsma. In addition, she is survived by a sister, Terry Manelski, many nieces and nephews and her beloved cats; Shadow and Tiki. Mary was predeceased by her siblings; Emily, Gene, Tommy, Angelo and Michael.
A visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Road, Whippany, NJ 07981. A prayer service will be held 11:00 a.m. in the funeral Home. An interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. In Mary’s memory, donations can be directed to Deborah Hospital Foundation, 212 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015 where she often volunteered.
