Mary Louise Oberst

She was a beloved sister, stepmother, aunt, grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 16. Mary is survived by a brother, Daniel J. Maloney, Jr., a niece Sharon Horne her family and a nephew Kevin Maloney, wife Kathy and family, three step-children Jeanne Feyedelem, Mary Kay Weir and husband Dale, and Gregory, J. ‘Jim’ Oberst Jr and wife Marie along with 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Her husband of 27 years predeceased her on Sept 5, 1987.

She worked as an executive secretary for ESNA, Union, NJ

She was active at St. Teresa Catholic Church serving as president of the Rosary Society and Church Women United. After moving to The Atria she was an ambassador to new residents, sang in the choir, and participated in skits. She loved to travel and was an avid Yankees fan, she enjoyed embroidery work, knitting and reading.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 10:45 am at St. Teresa of Avila Church, Summit, NJ. Interment St. Teresa’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s name may be made to. The Dominican Monastery of Our Lady of the Rosary, 543 Springfield Ave. Summit, NJ 07901.
