Mary (Pilliod) Enard of Westfield, N.J., passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013. She was 88 years old.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Mary on Thursday, November 14, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave., Springfield. Mary was a graduate of Vassar College and earned her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Following her graduation, she worked for Bell Laboratories as one of the first female engineers. Later in life, Mary served as treasurer for the Westfield YWCA and the Westfield Neighborhood Council.
Mary peregrinated to New England every Autumn, and when she wasn’t golfing or bowling, she was becoming a Life Master bridge player.
Mary was predeceased by her loving husband, Hans. She is survived by her four children: Lorance Michael, Jill, Mary, and James, as well as four grandchildren: Catie, Helen, Michelle, and Larry, eight great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
