Mario Cerulo, 68, of Chatham, NJ, died suddenly on June 7, 2017. Born in Vitulano, Italy on September 18, 1948 to Raffaele & Filomena Scarinzi Cerulo. Mario was self-employed/owner of J.C. Starters & Alternators in Chatham, NJ for many years. An avid fan of Italian soccer and homemade wine, Mario was a well-loved member of the extended Cerulo family.
Mario is survived by his four sisters, two brothers and his (in-laws), Mary Grace Catillo (Carlo), Elizabeth Martino, Pompelia Balestra (Santino), Anna Votino Cerulo, Giacomo Cerulo (Anna Maria), Pasquale Cerulo (Angela).
In addition he is survived and beloved by his many nieces and nephews including Angela Scheck, Vito Catillo, Ralph Catillo, Alesandro Martino, Gino Cerulo, Raffaele Cerulo, Lisa Cerulo, Cristina Cerulo Dugan, Adelina Pennetti, Patrizia Balestra, Maurizio Balestra, Franco Votino, Monia Falluto, Federica Cerulo, Raffaele Cerulo and Emanuela Cerulo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 12, 2016 at 10:45 am at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 306 Morris Ave., Summit, NJ. Entombment St. Teresa’s Cemetery. Visiting hours, Sunday, 3 to 6 pm at the Bradley Borough & Dangler Funeral Home, 299 Morris Ave., Summit, NJ.
