Marilyn L. “Dolly” Reeve, of Chatham, N.J. passed away December 7, 2014 at the Center for Hope in Scotch Plains.
Daughter of the late Lester and Elvira Lodge, Dolly was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on February 28, 1928.
She was a graduate of Brown University and taught for many years in the Chatham School District. She was an active volunteer in a number of organizations, and spent many years as a volunteer at the Independent Thrift Shop in Madison.
Dolly is survived by her loving children Pamela O’Gorman and her husband Gordon; Bradford Reeve and his wife Eileen; and Cynthia Hicks. She is also survived by eight grandchildren Erin, Daniel, Conor and Casey Reeve; Katherine, Anne and John O’Gorman; and Jeffery Hicks. Dolly was predeceased by her husband Richard E. Reeve and brother James Lodge
Visitation will be held at Wm. A. Bradley Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928 from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Corpus Christi Church, Chatham Twp., NJ. An interment will follow in St. Teresa’s Cemetery, Summit, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Marilyn Reeve to the Market Street Mission, 9 Market Street, Morristown, N.J. or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
