Marie Antoinette Cocozzelli, wife of the late Joseph Cocozzelli, died peacefully on April 19, 2020 at Autumn Lakes Convalescent Home. She was 92 years old. Marie was born in Newark, NJ, where she completed her education before moving to Springfield. She was employed by Essex County Vocational Schools as an Administrative Secretary for 40 years., before retiring.
Marie was an avid traveler. She and her husband traveled to various destinations within the US as well as to Europe and Asia. After many years, Marie and her husband vacationed in Florida during the winter months.
Marie is predeceased by her mother, Mary Mongrella, Leonardo, her father Joseph Mongrella and her sister Carolyn Verlangieri. Marie is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Mary Verlangieri of Springfield, Carole Erskine of Holmdel , Diane Raghavan of North Brunswick and Dr. Anthony Verlangieri of Oxford, Mississippi as well as many grand an great nieces and nephews.
