Marianne T. Klotz

Marianne (Teitschied) Klotz, 92, of Millburn, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013. Born in Cologne, Germany, Marianne came to the United States with her parents and sister in 1930. She settled in Newark, and also lived in Irvington. She worked for the Universal Chain Company in Maplewood, and at age 19, married William J. Klotz. She has lived in Millburn since 1942. To Marianne, family was everything. Mom will be greatly missed by her children and so many who thought of her as their “second mom”. Her loving kindness and her great interest in our welfare will be remembered and cherished all of our lives. Predeceased by her husband William, and sister Martha, she is survived by her children John W. and his wife Beverly, William J. Jr., and his wife Gina, Marianne E., and Margaret R. Klotz; grandchildren Rachel Borisow and her husband Michael, Karen Klotz and Matteo Battimelli, and Jason Klotz, and great grandchildren Abbey and Jason Klotz and Matteo and Luciano Battimelli. She will also be missed by 3 nieces, 2 nephews and their families. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday May 3, 2013 at 1pm at the Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home 415 Morris Ave., Springfield. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. There will be a visitation on Friday from 11am until the service begins.
