Maria Braca, 74, of Millburn, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.

Maria was born on November 28, 1940 in San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Italy. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Antonio and Carmella (nee Fiorilli) Picciuto.

Maria was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church, Short Hills, NJ and a member of the Assunta Association. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her loving husband, Enrico Braca of 50 years. She is also survived by her sons, Anthony and wife Ericka of Millburn, NJ, Joseph and Rebecca of Millburn, NJ and grandmother to Arabella Braca. She is also survived by her sisters, Filomena Picciuto of Benevento, Italy, Pasqualina Fucci and family of Milan, Italy, Liliana D’Onofrio and family of Milan, Italy, and sister-in-law, Maria Monaco and family of Yonkers, NY.

A visitation will be on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Bradley, Smith and Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills, New Jersey 07078. An entombment will follow in the parish mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Assunta Association at St. Rose of Lima Church.
