Margaret R. Welschko, a long-time Whippany resident, passed away on February 11, 2015. She was 96.

Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, Mrs. Welschko was a gifted seamstress who worked at Gloria Coat Co. in Morristown and was a member of the ILGWU and the Slovak Catholic Sokals. A long-time member of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Whippany, she was also a member of the Hanover Twp. Senior Citizens and enjoyed going on trips with them. In her younger years, she enjoyed walking and equally enjoyed the conversations she would have with people along the way. She loved to sew, cook and bake and was an avid NY Yankees fan.

She was the loving wife of the late George E., Sr.. Beloved mother of Carole Jean Falcon and her husband Don, and George Welschko. Cherished grandmother of Gregory, Christopher and Stephen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Carmen Renna and Dr. Nicholas Ricculli for their loving care and compassion and to her caregivers, Dottie and Theresa for their companionship and care.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, Whippany Rd., Whippany on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 10:30 am. An interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be held at the Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd., Whippany, on Sunday from 1-5 pm.
