Manuel D. Souza, 92, of Chatham, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Fall River, MA, Manny grew up in Brooklyn, and lived for many years in Maspeth, Queens. He settled in Chatham, NJ in 1990.
A veteran of the US Army, he served during WWII. He was active with the Senior Services of the Chathams, where he participated in countless events and activities. Manny enjoyed woodworking, and shared his creations with his grandchildren. He was also proud to grow his African Violets.
Predeceased by his wife, Barbara; granddaughter Amelia Marie Luboff; sister Angie Scarbrough; and sister in law Viola Romanowski; Manny is survived by his children Elaina Luboff and her husband Andre, and Steven Souza and his wife Karen Kwitter; grandchildren Randall and Aaron Souza and Erin and Madeline Luboff; and sister Hilda Phillips.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 11am at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street Chatham. Interment will follow at Fair Mount Cemetery, Chatham.
