Lynn L. Osterodt, 64, of Union, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014 at her home. Born in Jersey City, Lynn has lived most of her life in Union. Lynn earned a Bachelors degree from Jersey City State College, and Masters degree from Kean College. Lynn went on to become a grammar school teacher in the Union School System for nearly 30 years, retiring in 2000. Lynn enjoyed traveling, shopping, attending Broadway shows, and hooking rugs. She was a parishioner of Grace Lutheran Church, Union.
Lynn is predeceased by her parents, Fred and Madeline, and cousin, Lois Rockefeller. She is survived by her cousins, Robert and Lorraine Siller, their son Stephen Siller, and daughters Kristan Whalen and Jennifer Mann; Lois’s husband Donald Rockefeller and their children Brian Rockefeller, his wife Darrin, and their son David and daughter Rebecca, Gregg Rockefeller, Lisa Murphy, her husband Michael and their sons Patrick and Sean.
There will be a funeral service on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10am at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave., Union. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. The visitation will take place on Friday, from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the funeral home.
