Louis C. Di Falco

Louis C. Di Falco, 100, of Cedar Knolls, formerly of Morris Plains, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at his home.

Born and raised in Morristown, Louis moved to Morris Plains in 1959 and has lived in Cedar Knolls for 13 years.

Louis was a graduate of Morristown High School, Class of 1934 before serving in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the VFW Post 3401 in Morris Plains, NJ and the Columbia Club, Morristown, NJ. He was a parishioner of St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains, NJ.

In his earlier years, he enjoyed bowling and golfing. He co-owned and operated Di Falco’s Barber Shop where he worked as a barber. Louis was a musician in which he played the accordion and loved to sing.

Louis was predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Alma Di Falco; children Laura Skowronski and her husband Frank, and Louis DiFalco and his wife Sheila; and grandchildren Alyssa Skowronski, Diana Tirendi and husband Anthony and Christina Skowronski, and Eric and Samantha DiFalco. He is also survived by his siblings; Eleanor Serillo, Vincent Di Falco, Albert Di Falco, and Mario Di Falco. He was predeceased by his sister, Emma Serillo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains. An interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Road, Whippany, NJ 07981. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pathways for Exceptional Children, 4 Cherokee Court, Montville, NJ 07045 or to the SCARC Clark Center, 11 Rt. 206, Suite 100, Augusta, NJ 07822.
