Lony Mueller
February 8, 1912 – February 21, 2021
Lony Mueller, aged 109, died peacefully on February 21, 2021 in Summit, NJ.
Born Lony Hepting in Villingen Germany on February 8, 1912, two months before the Titanic sailed, Lony immigrated to the United States with her family in the 1920’s and settled in Newark, NJ, then in Short Hills and more recently in Summit. Her father established Mulberry Metal Products in Union, NJ which continues to be family-owned.
Loving and devoted to her family, Lony is survived by her children, Inge Horn and Richard Mueller, grandchildren Kristina Horn (Glenn Wright) and Elizabeth Horn (Shawn Shimpach) and great-grandchildren Lily and Charlotte Shimpach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, husband Joseph Mueller and son-in-law Richard Horn.
Lony was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Her family is tremendously grateful for her love, her long wonderful life and to her caregivers for making her last years so comfortable.
