Lois A. Tratnyek, 83, of Short Hills, New Jersey passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family.
Lois grew up in Irvington, NJ and was a graduate of Irvington High School. She furthered her education at New York Fashion Institute of Technology. She worked as an Accessory Buyer at Lord & Taylor. She was a member at Wyoming Presbyterian Church where she was deacon for many years. Lois and her late husband Francis resided in Short Hills, NJ.
They spent their summers in Belmar, NJ at their family beach house and vacationed in Cape Cod, MA. Family was everything to her and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years in 2010 Francis “Frank” Tratnyek. She was the loving mother of son John Tratnyek and wife Cynthia; daughter Susan Kiernan and her husband John; grandchildren; Caroline Kiernan, Claire Tratnyek, Ashley Kiernan, and Maggie Tratnyek. She was also predeceased by her sister Evelyn deFilippis and husband Lou.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 11am at Wyoming Presbyterian Church, 432 Wyoming Ave., Millburn, NJ. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Union, NJ. There will be visitation on Monday, June 10, 2019 from 4-9 pm at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wyoming Presbyterian Church.
