~~Lina Herbert, 95, of Union passed away on August 3, 2016. Visiting hours at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. in Union will be held on Wednesday, August 10th from 11am to 1pm. Interment will be private.
Born in Fürth, Germany, the daughter of Michael and Deina (Gugel) Landfried, Lina immigrated with her son to Union, NJ on February 13, 1959. She had worked in sales at a delicatessen while in Germany, then upon immigrating to America she was a factory worker at Sterling Plastics in Union, and later spent her time as a homemaker. Lina enjoyed baking, knitting, professional wrestling, old movies, Lawrence Welk and caring for her grandson. She will be fondly remembered for her kindness and devotion to her family and friends.
Lina was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Herbert and the loving mother of Erwin Walter and his wife Margaret. She is also survived by her cherished grandson Shane Walter and his wife Jessica and nephew Horst Rothdach in Germany.
