Lillian Nikas, 105, after a short illness. Lillian passed away peacefully on March 12, 2015. The Funeral Service was on March 14, 2015 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Westfield. Lillian managed J.M. Towne & Co., a department store with 3 partners. Lillian opened Jalm & Co. in August, 1963, a ladies boutique shop in Millburn, NJ. She retired at 84 years old. Born April 22, 1909 in Anavriti, Sparta, Greece, emigrated to the U.S. in 1914. Has lived in New York, Boonton, NJ, Summit, NJ (40 years), and 14 years in Franciscan Oakes in Denville, NJ. Pre-deceased by her husband of 55 years, James Nikas. She is the mother of Marie Combias and her husband Anthony, grandmother of Lorie Combias Holevas and her husband Tom, John Combias and his wife Lilly, and James Combias, great-grandmother of Christina and Greg Holevas, Brian, Tanner, and Emily Combias, Alexandra, Christina and Maria Combias.
