Lester "Kookie" Baker

Lester J. Baker, II “Kookie” 72, of Drums, Pa., passed away on January 9, 2019. Born in Ballston Spa, New York, Kookie has lived in Irvington and Rockaway, New Jersey before moving to Pennsylvania 15 years ago. A proud Native American, Kookie served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver for Poland Springs, as well as an independent long haul truck driver, whose CB handle was The King of Diamonds. He was an avid Hot Rod fan, who enjoyed rebuilding cars and following Nascar. He also enjoyed playing slot machines. Kookie lived life and did it his way. Kookie will be missed by the Love of his life of 54 years, Karen. He also loved all of his furbabies, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

There will be a visitation on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 3-8pm at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Avenue, Union. Cremation will take place on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Rosedale Crematory, in Montclair, New Jersey.
