Lenore B. Brusca,78, was a long time resident of Springfield, NJ, where she was an active supporter of local community. Lenore graduated from North Plainfield High School in 1951. She started in the wholesale electronics business in 1955 where Lenore played a substantial role in breaking the glass ceiling for women in the electronics wholesale industry. In 1987, Lenore opened her own business, Avanti Electronics of which she was president. Her company was located on Morris Ave. in Union, New Jersey, from its opening in 1987 until Lenore’s retirement in 2011. Lenore was very proud of her woman owned business. By the 1990’s, the business was tremendously successful, and was awarded contracts to supply the US military electronic components during Desert Storm. She was active in the Union County Chamber of Commerce and the New Jersey Association of Woman Owned Businesses.
She loved the music from her high school days especially Frank Sinatra. She had a passion both for Opera and for Italy. She was especially happy when spending time at Lake Maggiore a place she loved deeply. She leaves behind her brothers Guy, Victor and Anthony and sisters Madeline, Anne and Martha. She was predeceased by her sisters Geraldine and Teresa. She also leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces who loved her very much.
