LaVerne F. Reitberger, affectionately known as “Aunt Sis”, 89, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Ashbrook Care and Rehabilitation Center, where she had been living for the past 3 years.
LaVerne was born in Newark, New Jersey on May 14, 1929 to Charles and Nellie Heidtman. She worked for 47 years as a waitress at Kless Diner, and Don’s Barn and Village Diner, retiring in 2002. LaVerne enjoyed playing BINGO.
She was the wife of the late Herbert Reitberger; beloved aunt of Linda Zaragoza of Hillside, NJ and Nancy Chennault of Houston, Texas. She was also the great aunt of Tracy Betlow and Kenneth Dysko.
A Visitation will take place on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 1pm-4pm at the Bradley Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Avenue in Union.
