Laura Kay Springer died in her Upper Strasburg, Pennsylvania home in the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 6, 2013. She was born in Washington D.C. on January 30, 1965, grew up in Chatham, New Jersey and summered on Long Beach Island. Laura graduated from Pingry and earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, with summa cum laude distinction, from Rutgers University. Laura loved playing the piano and writing music and poetry; she was a true creative, artistic soul. Laura was a black diamond skier and a voracious reader. She enjoyed square dancing with her fiancé Jonathan Booher, also of Upper Strasburg, and with whom a September 14, 2013 wedding had been planned. Recently, Laura had been earning straight “A’s” as she worked toward her master’s degree in education with a specialty in family and community counseling services.
Laura is predeceased by her beloved mother, Kathleen. She is survived by her father, Robert of Chatham; her sister Emily of Monmouth Beach; brothers Erik of Denver, Colorado, Robert of Golden, Colorado, Austin of Chatham; and her nephews Ford and Hammond.
