Kypros Kouyialis

Kypros Kouyialis, 77, of Whippany, New Jersey passed away on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Morristown Memorial Hospital with his family at his side.

Kypros was born on May 2, 1936 in Deftera, Cyprus. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas and Katina Kouyialis.

He lived in Whippany for over 41 years with his loving wife and children. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, APOEL Nicosia Football Club, and New York Red Bulls. He was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Panayiota Paschali Kouyialis. He was the father to three children; two sons; Peter and wife Ingrid of Lake Hiawatha, NJ, Nick of Dayton, NJ, and a daughter; Katherine and husband Philip Pappadopoulos of Allen, TX. He was the grandfather to Nicholas, Alexander, Patrick, and Timothy. He is also survived by two sisters and three brothers, all of Cyprus and Greece.

A visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2013 at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, 1447 Sussex Turnpike, Randolph, NJ 07869. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Whippany, NJ.
