Katherine Jaszczyszyn, 74, of Springfield passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on July 20th.
Born in Poland, Katherine came to the United States in 1960 and has lived in Springfield since 1969. She had worked for many years as the Manager of her family’s business, Clinton Metal Fabricating Corp. in Newark. Katherine was a long time parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church and was a member of the Polish Falcon Club. She enjoyed cooking and dancing.
Katherine was the beloved wife of 36 years to the late John Jaszczyszyn. She was the loving mother of Irene Rimback and her husband Joe, and Lisa Valsamedis and her husband Dennis, cherished grandmother of Tara, Samantha, Katie, and Drew, and dear sister of Benjamin Jaszczyszyn and his wife Marie and their children Ashley and Johnny.
