Katherine Virginia Castellano died on November 18, 2018 in her home in Green Village, New Jersey. She was born on July 7, 1919 in Manhattan and lived in the Bronx, Staten Island and Toms River, New Jersey before moving to Green Village four years ago.
She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Frank Castellano. She is survived by a daughter, Anne Schaumberg; a son Salvatore Castellano and his fiancée Barbara Donnelly; a grandson, Joseph Castellano; a granddaughter and her husband Katherine and Peter Gargiulo; and two great grandsons, Richard Joseph Gargiulo and John William Gargiulo. She is also survived by a sister, Helen Affinito and many nieces and nephews. Katherine was an extraordinary and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, friend and leader.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 11am at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Boulevard, in Chatham, New Jersey. Interment will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery, Summit. There will be a visitation prior to the Mass on Friday from 9am until 10:30am at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street in Chatham, New Jersey.
