Juan Reyes Gonzales, 74 of Summit, NJ, passed peacefully on December 14, 2015. Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, Juan has lived in Summit since 1980. Juan was a Dietary Aide at Overlook Hospital for 27 years, retiring in 2007. A parishioner of St. Teresa of Avila Church, Juan loved spending time with his family and taking his grandchildren into downtown Summit. He also loved to travel and working outdoors.
He is survived by his wife 47 years, Haydee Reyes, his children, Yaisy R. Snyder and her husband Shawn, Yos Reyes and his wife Danielle, grandfather of Jake, Jessica & Dylan, also survived by his siblings, Caridad Lima, Vivina Diaz, Ramon, Reinaldo, Ramiro & Rafael, and his companion dog Django.
A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 10 am at the Bradley Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 309 Springfield Ave., Summit, NJ. Interment St. Teresa’s Cemetery.
