Josephine Tricarico, Loving Aunt & Dear Friend

Tricarico, Josephine, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 6th.

Josephine was born in 1920 in San Bartolomeo en Galdo, Italy to the late Miguel and Angelina Popolillo. When Jo was a young child, her mother died. Along with her father, her step mother, Michelina raised Josephine and her siblings as her own. Jo was incredibly close to her. At the age of 17, Josephine moved to the states and lived in Short Hills, Millburn, and then Vauxhall for over 70 years. Most recently she lived at Wynwood of Florham Park. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church and stayed very active with the Life Lighters and Madonna del Assunta. She was an accomplished and talented seamstress, and worked at the Ladies Garment Industry for many years. Jo donated much of her time to the Red Cross, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Predeceased by her brothers Salvatore and Angelo; and nephew Sal Popolillo, she is survived by her nephew Michael Popolillo and his wife Allison, nieces Ruth Meyer and Carla Popolillo (Sal), nephew Guy Popolillo, great nephews and niece Gregory and Ken Meyer, Salvatore Popolillo III and Guilianna Popolillo; and many loving friends.
