~~Joseph “Joe” Alacco, 90, of Springfield passed away at his home on September 4, 2015. Memorial visiting hours will be held at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave in Springfield on Wednesday, September 9th from 4 to 7pm. Born in Madison, New Jersey, Joe moved to Springfield where he resided for the past 60 years. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII. Joe graduated from Upsala College in East Orange with a degree in Accounting. He was a paving foreman with J. Pastore & Son in Union for many years until his retirement in 1999. Joe enjoyed golfing and bowling. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and fun loving spirit.
Predeceased by his wife, Josephine, of 53 years. He is survived by his loving daughters, Cathy Hines (Rich) and Josephine Montesano (Joe), his cherished granddaughters, Danielle and Christina, sister, Sylvia Signorelli, sister-in-law, Ann Pastore, and his many kind neighbors.
