Kunyz, Joseph J. Sr, passed away on Thursday, February 9th, a day shy of his 86th birthday, at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ
Born in Millburn, Joe has lived in Springfield for over 45 years. After his schooling, he enlisted in the US Navy, proudly serving his country in WWII. He worked at Carpenter Technology in Union for many years before retiring in 1986. He enjoyed tending to his flower and vegetable gardens, but above all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Predeceased by his wife Genevieve of 56 years, he is survived by his children Joseph Jr. and his wife Maryanne and Carol Kunyz; his loving grandchildren Sage and her husband Mark, Andrea, Timothy and Nicholas; his sisters Helen Rush, Elizabeth Hummer & Anna Kunyz; and brothers Edward and Peter.
