Joseph A. Venutolo, 84, of Bloomfield, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Arbor Glen Center, Cedar Grove, NJ.
Joseph was born on May 4, 1930 in Newark, NJ. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony and Maria (nee Nunzianzeno) Venutolo.
Joseph worked as an insurance agent for Prudential Life Insurance for many years. Joseph was an opera buff, loved building model ships and enjoyed playing pinnacle. He loved cooking, baking, and routing for the New York Giants and Yankees. In his earlier years, he enjoyed photography.
He is also survived by his sons, Joseph Venutolo and Karen, John and wife Ana Venutolo, and Mark and wife Sue Venutolo. He was the grandfather to Nicole Marie, Joseph Michael, Natalie Grace, Kyle Mark, and Juliana. He is also survived by his sister, Ann and late husband Jerry Corbo, sister-in-law, Carmela Venutolo and her son, Anthony, and his previous wife, Anna Marie Venutolo. He was predeceased by his brother, Albert Venutolo and sister, Rose and husband Joseph Valenti.
A visitation will be Friday, November 28, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wm. A. Bradley and Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 85 Washington Avenue, Chatham, NJ 07928. An interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to American Cancer Society, 7 Ridgedale Avenue, Suite 103, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.
