Jorge A. Cuba, 67 of Hillside, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ. Jorge was born on February 6, 1953 in Callao, Peru and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Julio and Carmen Cuba. Jorge served in the Marina de Guerra del Perú. Jorge then migrated to America and lived in Newark and Hillside, NJ.

Jorge’s proudest accomplishment was his children and grandchildren. He is survived by the mother of his children, Rosa Guevara, his children; Jorge Cuba, Julio Cuba, Stephanie Cuba, Casey Cuba, Brandon Cuba and Brandon Guevara along with his grandchildren; Mariel Cuba, Nicole Cuba, Jeremiah Cuba, Jake Cuba, Avaness Cuba and Maison Cuba. In addition, he is survived by his siblings; Luz Elena, Emilio, Julio and his mother Carmen Cuba.

He enjoyed watching action movies, listening to music, traveling to Canada/Peru, playing on his phone, watching soccer games and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed to go out on breakfast, lunch and dinner dates with his family. His favorite food was Arroz Chaufa de Marisco and Chicharon with Tamales. He was a funny man making jokes shamelessly. The stories he would tell were like no other; he always had a story to tell with a joke to go along with it.  Above all, family was everything to him.

Jorge was a beloved father to his children, their best friend and companion. He became friends of their friends. His children will remember him as their hero, always a giving them the best of him and the best of life. He praised his kids for all their accomplishments whether small or large. He always found a way to make them feel special.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Avenue, Union, NJ 07083. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at The Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge St, Newark, NJ 07104. Cremation will be private.
