John Michalski, of Whippany, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013. Born and raised in Stanhope, John served in the US Army during WWII, and then settled in Whippany. John belonged to the Polish American Club and the American Legion, in Whippany. He loved fishing, hunting and trapping. He raised and raced pigeons and enjoyed tending to his game rooster farm.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Arlene; son Jack Michalski and his wife Pat, and daughter Judith Derrick; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and their families.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10am at St Ann’s Church, 781 Smith Rd., Parsippany, NJ 07054. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. There will be a visitation on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Bradley Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd., Whippany.
