John J. Rohona- “Semper Fi”
John J. Rohona, 89 of Toms River, formerly of Summit, passed peacefully on February 9, 2013 at his daughter Jacqueline’s home in Toms River. Born in Czechoslovakia, raised in Lakewood, Ohio, he lived in Summit, NJ for 58 years before moving to Toms River in 2008. He was a Sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1941-1945 and in the reserves from 1946-1952. John was a supervisor with Jersey Central Power & Light Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the American Legion of Madison, MJ.John is pre-deceased by his wife Lilliam E. Rohona (nee Traynor). He is survived by his three daughters Sandra and Dennis Gauthier, Linda and Joseph Verderber and Jacqueline and Joseph Andrews, seven gramdchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter, a sister Mary Deley and brother Michael Rohona.
