John J. Macce, 87 of Lewisburg, Pa, formerly of Millburn, NJ, passed peacefully on Sunday, September 22, 2013. Born in Vitulano, Italy, he lived in Millburn, NJ for 56 years, before moving to Lewisburg, Pa., in 1988. John served proudly in the Army Air Force during WWII, from 1944 to 1946. He was a Postal Supervisor with the Short Hills Post Office for many years, retiring over 20 years ago. He was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church in Short Hills, NJ and Sacred Heart Church in Lewisburg, Pa. John loved gardening and playing golf. He is pre-deceased by his wife Joan Macce (nee Curtis), and his daughter the late Barbara Rae Turner. He is survived by his children, Patricia L. Brown and her husband Kevin, John C. Macce and his wife Michelle and Elizabeth Jean Macce, grandfather of Meredith and Michael Brown, Lucas, Nicholas, John, Alexandra and Giacomo Macce, also survived by his two sisters, Anne Diamente and Nancy Tighe.
