Joan C. Clemente- Loving Mother, Sister, Aunt & Friend
Joan C. Clemente, 79, (nee Yancik) was called to rest in the arms of her Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2014. Joan is survived by her daughter, Mary Bonelli and son in law, Jonathan Bonelli of Hickory, NC, her sister Marion Hartmann of West Milford; her loving partner Nicholas Ditta of Roselle Park and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Frank Clemente; her parents Mary (Macko) and John Yancik; and sisters Margaret Yancik and Dorothy Kastner. Born and raised in Newark, Joan also lived in Irvington and Union before moving to Roselle Park. Joan began her work at the Prudential in Newark and finished at Eagle Work Clothes in Union. You could always find Joan watching her Dallas Cowboys on Sundays during football season. And watching her cooking and game shows in the off season. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 10:15 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Union. Interment, Friday, March 21 at 11:30 am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s name may be made to your local Hospice or Veteran group.
